Proton adds video calling to its productivity suite

We love recommending the Proton productivity suite of apps to our clients because they have long been the forerunner in privacy-centric email providers. Additionally they have a history of supporting organisations focused on preserving digital rights in information technology.

However, when making software recommendations we have to consider our clients requirements carefully against our own desires to support causes we care about. Finding the right solutions to our clients requirements is the priority. That being said the juggernauts of productivity, Google Workspace and Microsoft 360, often appeal because they simply offer so much.

Last month, that gap just shrank significantly when Proton introduced video calling to its suite of software. This one product was often the deal maker for a lot of our clients considering different productivity suites as video calling is an essential component of modern businesses.

We just used it for the first time today and it worked flawlessly. The interface was modern and clean, and the video quality was top notch. We look forward to recommending it to our clients in future along with other Proton products.
